You hold the tickets.
You keep the money.
skysolutionX is a matching platform for ABN businesses that fly agricultural work — a company, a trust, or a sole trader with one aircraft. You hold the tickets, or you are getting them. We send you scoped enquiries in your area. You set your own price, the grower pays you, and you keep it.
Platform fee 20% on platform jobs, 2% on your own. No exclusivity.
The fee above is the drone operator term. Fixed-wing and helicopter operators: the platform fee is quoted to each operator individually for now. Register interest and we will contact you with terms.
skysolutionX is Australia's marketplace for commercial aerial services. It connects licensed fixed-wing, helicopter and drone operators with customers who need spraying, mapping or monitoring at a defined time and location. Operators list their service types and coverage; customers post requirements that are pushed to operators in the relevant region, so supply and demand can be matched and the customer contracts with the operator direct.
Not us. Your agreement is with the grower, so the money goes straight to your account, on your terms. Once a month we bill you our fee — the only bill you will ever get from us.
20% / 2%
First offer on regional enquiriesWhen a grower enquiry lands in your area and matches your ticket class, you get first offer on it. It arrives already scoped: block, crop, area, product, window, and a guide range per hectare. You decide whether to quote.
Your licences and insurance go to the grower before your name does, so the grower compares like with like.
We scope the job. You set the price.
Every job, start to finish
A grower fills in the block, the crop, the area, the product and the window. We check the label allows aerial application, flag airspace, obstacles and neighbouring sensitive areas, and attach a guide range per hectare. Then it goes to the operators who can legally fly it.
The guide range is a reference, not your price. You set the number. You can quote above it or below it, quote travel separately, or not quote at all. Declining costs you nothing and changes nothing.
They see your ticket class, your certificates, your insurance and your price. Not a rating, not a queue position. If they accept, the job is yours and the contract is between the two of you.
Pre-job checklist — weather, buffer zones, label, licences. Chemical handled to the label and to your state's law. Drift control and PPE. Logs uploaded within 48 h. A post-job report to the grower. You are the operator in command and every go/no-go call on the day is yours.
Your terms, your bank account. We never sit between you and the money — and we never chase it for you either.
At the end of the month we bill you for the fee on that month's recorded jobs. Ex GST, plus GST. Nothing is deducted from anything.
20% if we found it. 2% if you did.
There is one fee and it is a percentage of the job value. Nothing else. No sign-up cost, no annual cost, no cost per enquiry, and no charge for declining work.
- 20% on a platform-sourced job — the enquiry came to us and we put it to you.
- 2% on a job you sourced yourself and recorded on the platform — your own grower, your own relationship, recorded so the job carries the same SOP, the same record and the same insurance evidence.
All figures ex GST; GST is added and is claimable if you are registered. Billed monthly, in arrears. The fee is never taken out of a grower payment, because we never hold one.
What counts as platform-sourced
The grower reached us first. That means an enquiry through this site, a phone call or email to us, or a lead from a partner we introduced you to. If the grower came to you, it is not platform-sourced — recording it here does not change that.
Worked example — 100 ha at $36/ha
reference figure, ex GST, before your chemical, fuel, batteries, labour, travel and insurance
Job we sourced
Job value$3,600
Platform fee · 20%$720
The grower pays you$3,600
You keep$2,880
The grower pays you direct. We bill you our fee once a month, separately.
Job you sourced
Job value$3,600
Platform fee · 2%$72
The grower pays you$3,600
You keep$3,528
The grower pays you direct. We bill you our fee once a month, separately.
Percent of job value. 20% on jobs the platform sources; 2% on jobs the operator finds and records on the platform. We bill the operator monthly, ex GST plus GST. The platform never collects grower money — the grower pays the operator direct.
Chemical the grower supplies or pays for is not part of the job value. Travel you quote separately is not part of the job value.
Registration. That is the whole obligation.
- No exclusivity
You are free to take work from any source, at any time, including work that competes with ours. Registering here does not tie your business to us.
- No minimum hours
There is no hour count to hit, no volume to keep up, and nothing happens to your account in a quiet month.
- No obligation to accept
Every enquiry is an offer. Decline as many as you like, for any reason or none. Declining is not recorded against you.
- No income guarantee
We will not tell you what you will earn. We do not know how many enquiries your area will produce, and anyone who promises you a number is guessing.
- No remote disable
We cannot stop your aircraft, on the ground or in the air. There is no kill switch, and there never was one in the agreement.
The one thing that can happen
If you do not follow the platform SOP on a recorded job, we can suspend your access to the platform. That is a platform decision about platform work. It does not touch your aircraft, your licences or your own growers.
What you need before you fly a job here.
Some of this is national. The chemical licences are not — they are set by your state, and they are the part people get wrong.
Everywhere in Australia
- 01 · An ABN
An active ABN, held by a company, a trust or a sole trader, plus a signed declaration that the aircraft is for business use. A sole trader with one aircraft qualifies.
- 02 · A ReOC
A CASA remote operator certificate — your own, with the aircraft listed on it, or one you are nominated on. If you fly under our ReOC, operational control is set out in the Platform Services Agreement.
- 03 · An RePL with the >25 kg multirotor class
Spray drones above 25 kg need a remote pilot licence with the multirotor class above 25 kg. Add an AROC if you will enter controlled airspace.
- 05 · Written consent to flight-log sync
Logs sync for recorded jobs only. The consent is a separate signed document, limited to that purpose, and you can revoke it. We do not sell the data.
- 04 · Insurance
Third-party cover including chemical drift of at least amount not yet fixed. Aviation liability of at least amount not yet fixed. Certificates before you take work, and again at every renewal.
Your state’s chemical licences
New South Wales
- RPA applicator pilot licence (NSW EPA)
- RPA applicator business licence (NSW EPA)
You need both — the pilot licence alone does not let the business charge for the work.
Victoria
- RPA pilot (chemical rating) licence (Agriculture Victoria)
- RPA agricultural aircraft operator licence (Agriculture Victoria)
An ACUP does not cover paid aerial application.
Queensland
- Pilot chemical rating licence
- Aerial distribution contractor licence (Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control Act 1966)
South Australia
We have not verified an aerial-application licence pathway for remotely piloted aircraft in South Australia, and we will not publish one we cannot stand behind. Talk to us and we will work through it with you before you commit to anything.
Tell us you are here and we will come back to you when the network opens there.
Western Australia
Same position as South Australia. The requirement is qualification-based rather than licence-based, and we are confirming the current wording with the regulator.
Tell us you are here and we will come back to you when the network opens there.

Missing one of these? The academy runs the courses. Ask us which order to do them in — the sequence matters, and doing them in the wrong one costs you a season.
Five fields to start.
Business name, ABN, your name, a mobile and an email. The rest helps us route enquiries to you sooner, but you can send it later.
- 01 We read it and check what you hold.
- 02 We call you within two business days.
- 03 We check your certificates.
- 04 Enquiries in your region start coming to you.
Do not upload anything yet. Licence certificates, your ReOC, and insurance certificates come later, once we have spoken and you know this is worth your time.
Application received
Got it. We will come back to you within two business days with the enquiry volume we are actually seeing in your area — including if the honest answer is “not much yet”.
Still deciding?
The operator questions are answered in one place — the fee, the aircraft, the licences, what happens if a grower does not pay, and what we can and cannot do to your account.
