Growers

  1. 01Who am I actually contracting with?
The operator, not us. You get quotes from licensed operators who cover your region, you pick one, and the agreement for the work is between you and them. We check their licences and insurance before they can see your enquiry, we hold the job record, and that is where our part ends.
  2. 02Who do I pay?
The operator. They send you the bill and you pay them, on their terms. We never collect, hold or forward your money. Our fee is paid by the operator, separately, once a month, and it has nothing to do with what you pay them.
  3. 03What is actually in a quote?
A rate per hectare for the work, travel from the operator's base stated separately, and the minimum job charge if your block is under it. In writing, before anyone drives anywhere. Anything on the guide ranges page is a guide, not a quote — the operator's written number is the price.
  4. 04What happens if the weather closes the window?
The job reschedules at no charge. The operator is the operator in command and makes the call on the day, on the conditions at your block against what the label allows. Nobody at the platform can overrule that, and we would not want to.
  5. 05What records do I get back?
A job record on every job: the coverage map with the lines actually flown, the volume applied per zone, the wind and temperature at the time of application, the product, label and batch, and the licence numbers of the operator who flew it. It is formatted for your spray diary. You keep it, and it stays yours if you use a different operator next season.
  6. 06Who supplies the chemical?
You do. The platform never buys, holds, carries or handles chemical and never will. Whether the operator supplies it instead is something you agree with them directly, and it is priced in their quote, not ours.
  7. 07What insurance does the operator carry?
We hold current certificates before an operator can take enquiries: hull cover at full replacement value, third-party cover that explicitly includes chemical drift and overspray of at least amount not yet fixed, and aviation liability of at least amount not yet fixed. A lot of drone policies exclude drift, which is exactly why we ask for it in writing.
  8. 08How is the operator checked?
Before they can see an enquiry from your region: remote pilot licence with the class rating for the aircraft, an operator certificate with that aircraft listed on it by make and model, and the chemical licences your state requires. We ask for the certificate, not the claim. If a licence lapses they have to tell us within number not yet fixed business days, and enquiries stop until it is back.
  9. 09Something went wrong. What do I do?
Tell the operator and tell us at the same time. We release the job record, the credentials and the insurance evidence to both sides. You then have number not yet fixed days to work it out between you, and if that fails it goes to expedited arbitration in Sydney under New South Wales law. We do not decide who is right — we make sure both of you have the same facts.
  10. 10How small a job will someone take?
A minimum job charge applies, and it is on the guide ranges page and in every quote. Under that, an operator will usually price by the hour instead, which often works out better for small blocks and spot jobs anyway. Send the block and let them tell you.
  11. 11Drone, plane or helicopter: who decides?
The operator recommends the aircraft for your block and says so in the quote. Each aircraft page lists the jobs it can do, and each drone job page says when a plane or helicopter also does it.
  12. 12Can a drone muster my cattle?
Only on your own property and within sight of the drone, under CASA rules. For anything beyond that, see Helicopters.
  13. 13Who can lay aerial baits for wild dogs or feral pigs?
The approved procedures name helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. In New South Wales, aerial feral pig baits can only be laid by helicopter.

Operators

  1. 01What does the platform cost me?
One fee, billed to you once a month, ex GST plus GST. It is 20% of the job value on jobs the platform sent you, and 2% on jobs you found yourself and recorded here. There is nothing else. No joining fee, no monthly charge, no charge for declining work.
  2. 02How is a job classed as platform-sourced or my own?
By where the enquiry came from. If the grower came to you through the platform, it is platform-sourced and the fee is 20%. If you found the work yourself — your own customer, your own phone call — and you record it here, it is your own and the fee is 2%. Recording your own jobs is what puts them on the job record and gets them the 48-hour log sync; it is not us charging you for your own customers.
  3. 03Who pays who?
The grower pays you, direct, and you keep it. We never collect grower money, so there is nothing to wait for and nothing to chase through us. Separately, we bill you our fee once a month.
  4. 04Am I locked in? Is there a minimum?
No. Registration is registration and nothing more: no exclusivity, no minimum hours, no obligation to accept anything, and no income guarantee from us. You quote your own price, you decline freely, and you take work from any source you like, including sources that compete with us. What we promise is one thing: enquiries from your region go to you before they go wider.
  5. 05What does declining a job cost me?
Nothing. There is no acceptance rate, no rating, no score, and no penalty for saying no. We are not going to build one.
  6. 06What can suspend my platform access?
Not following the platform standard on a recorded job. That is the whole list. Suspension means enquiries stop coming to you until it is put right. We never touch the aircraft, there is no remote disable, and nothing is ever stopped mid-job or in the air.
  7. 07What happens to my flight data?
Log sync applies to recorded jobs only, under a separate written consent that you sign and can revoke at any time. It is purpose-limited: the job record, insurance evidence, and dispute evidence. We do not sell it and we do not pass it on outside a dispute between the two parties to the job.
  8. 08Which licences do I need in my state?
Everywhere: an active ABN, a remote pilot licence with the multirotor class above 25 kg, and an operator certificate — your own or flying under ours — with the aircraft listed on it by make and model. Then, by state: New South Wales, an RPA applicator pilot licence and an RPA applicator business licence. Victoria, an RPA pilot (chemical rating) licence and an RPA agricultural aircraft operator licence. Queensland, a pilot chemical rating licence and an aerial distribution contractor licence. South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory are still to be confirmed and we are not registering operators there yet.

Not here?

Ring 0450 886 389 — Mon–Sat, 6am–7pm during season. That reaches us, not an operator.
